- Ticks can be active all year provide it’s above freezing
- Deer ticks are the primary vector for Lyme disease
- Ticks need to be latched onto you for 24 hours before they transmit Lyme
- If you think a deer tick has been on you for more than 24 hours save it for testing.
- Over 50% of all deer ticks in the northeast carry Lyme
